Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Cropus. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
The service
Cropus reframes videos you upload into other aspect ratios (such as 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9), using AI to follow the main subject. The service is operated by [legal name and address of the operator].
Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it.
Minutes
- Processing is measured in minutes of source video. A video is charged once, when you upload it: its length, rounded up to the next 6 seconds (for example, a 47-second video uses 0.8 min). Every format and re-export of that video is then free.
- New accounts currently receive 5 free minutes, once per Google account.
- Plan minutes are refilled to your plan’s allowance every month and don’t roll over. Minutes from packs (and your free minutes) never expire. Plan minutes are used first.
- Minutes have no cash value and can’t be transferred or exchanged for money.
Plans and payments
- Prices are shown on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for; after that your plan minutes end, pack minutes stay, and new uploads get the free limits unless you have bought a minute pack.
- Upgrading takes effect at once and adds the bigger plan’s extra minutes for the current month. Downgrading caps your plan minutes at the new allowance.
Refunds
- If we can’t analyze a video after automatic retries, the minutes charged for it are returned to your balance automatically.
- If a format fails to render, we retry it at no charge; the minutes for the video are not refunded, because the analysis succeeded and you can render the format again for free.
- Videos we can’t read at all are rejected before any minutes are charged.
- Payments for plans and packs are otherwise non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. If something went wrong, write to [email protected] and we’ll look at it.
Your content
- You may upload only videos you own or have the right to use, and that you are allowed to have edited and republished. You are responsible for your videos and how you use the results.
- You keep all rights to your videos. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you, including sending sampled frames to our AI vision provider.
- Uploads are currently limited to 4 GB and to the video length of your plan. Files are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, or 30 days for accounts that, at upload time, have a plan in force or have ever bought a minute pack (“Try again” on a failed video starts the period again) — download what you need.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Cropus to upload or create content that:
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or harasses people;
- contains malware, or is meant to overload, probe or break the service.
We may remove such content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
No guarantee
We work hard to keep Cropus running and the results good, but the service is provided “as is”. Automatic reframing can misjudge a scene, and we don’t guarantee that every result will suit your purpose or that the service will be uninterrupted. Check your outputs before you publish them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Cropus at any time and ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. We may suspend or end the service for you if you break these terms.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of [country / state], and disputes go to the courts of [place], unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
